<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ink-jet recording, which can be fixed to all kinds of printing paper used in markets at high speeds even in the absence of a heating source, and can form images having high image qualities in high fastness. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition for ink-jet recording, containing (1) silica sol and/or alumina sol, (2) a colorant which is dispersed or dissolved in water, (3) water, and (4) an organic solvent having a boiling point of ≥180°C (760 mmHg) and miscible with water or an alcohol, as main component, is characterized in that (4) contains 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol and 1,6-hexanediol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
