<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal cable for LAN with batch shield to be used in 90 m even under a severe environment of 60°C. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a metal cable for LAN configured such that at the maximum 90 m in permanent link use length is authorized only in the case of use temperature ranging from -20 to 60°C, attenuation in ambient temperature 20°C set to a standard specified value and 20°C or less, and that since the increase of temperature results in the increase of attenuation, shortening the permanent link length according to the increase of temperature is specified. Such four conditions as the diameter of a conductor, the thickness of an insulator, the twist pitch of each of four sets of opposite twisted wires and the set pitch of the four sets of opposite twisted wires are optimized so that it is possible to suppress the attenuation within the 20°C standard specified value even in the case of the ambient temperature 60°C, and to achieve the pertinent link use of 90 m even in the case of the ambient temperature 60°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
