摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite receiver which is capable of shortening the time required for detection of a signal from a positioning satellite without being increased in size. <P>SOLUTION: The satellite receiver includes: detecting operation means (151 and 154) which is capable of executing operations for detecting a satellite signal, in parallel with respect to a prescribed number of (two or more) reception frequencies; acquisition means (156) which makes the detecting operation means acquire a signal at one of reception frequencies set in order at intervals of a first frequency interval, as digital data having the first number of bits and detects a satellite signal on the basis of an operation result; and specifying means (156) which, on detection of a satellite signal, makes the detecting operation means acquire signals of reception frequencies set with a prescribed number of reception frequencies as a group in order at intervals of a second frequency interval shorter than the first frequency interval, as digital data having the second number of bits smaller than the first number of bits respectively and specifies a reception frequency of the satellite signal on the basis of results of operations executed in parallel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
