<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of improving interest in a game by executing a performance assuming even an irregularly occurring situation. <P>SOLUTION: It is defined that a nonspecific 8R jackpot is not to be won in a second symbol variation game. When the nonspecific 8R jackpot is won in a variation shortening state in which the second symbol variation game tends to be executed, a CPU for main control determines a shared variation pattern which can be determined on losing as well.
