<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell capable of equalizing temperatures of gas and cooling water at a gas inlet of a fuel cell stack by devising a system from a humidifier up to the fuel cell stack and capable of bringing the humidity of gas to approximately 100 percent. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte fuel cell includes: humidified gas supply means for supplying hydrogen gas and oxygen gas to the fuel cell stack in an approximately 100% humidity state; and temperature equalizing means for supplying the hydrogen gas, oxygen gas to the fuel cell stack in a uniform temperature state of the hydrogen gas, the oxygen gas and cooling water. In the humidified gas supply means and the temperature equalizing means, a cooling water supply pipe is branched in the fuel cell stack to form branched pipes 27 and the branched pipes 27 are arranged so as to flow on the side end parts of separators 29 of the fuel cell stack, and water jet holes 31 for jetting water immediately before inflow of the hydrogen gas and the oxygen gas into the cell are formed on the branched pipes 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
