METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COATING SEALING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the adhesive strength of a sealing agent without decreasing productivity.

SOLUTION: A method for coating the sealing agent 14 to a seam 16 of a door panel 13 is characterized as follows. One atmospheric-pressure plasma head 61 of two heads 61, 71 mounted at a head mounting part 50 mounted at an arm tip 39 of an arm robot 30 is used to carry out a plasma spraying plasma treatment to the seam 16 of the door panel 13. The other coating head 71 of the two heads mounted at the head mounting part 50 is used to carry out a treatment in which the sealing agent 14 is applied to the seam 16 of the door panel 13 after the plasma treating is performed.
