<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high concentration inkjet ink for a plain paper. <P>SOLUTION: An ink composition in which the ink includes a dye expressed by general formula (1) in an aqueous medium, and includes at least one water-miscible organic solvent in which the solubility of the dye is at most 10 (g/100 g solvent) at 25°C, is provided. (In the formula, A is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted nitrogen-containing 5-membered hetero ring group. G is a nitrogen atom or -C(R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>)=. R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is a hydrogen atom, a sulfo group, a carboxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted carbamoyl group or a cyano group. Y<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, Y<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and Y<SB POS="POST">4</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituted group. All of Y<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, Y<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and Y<SB POS="POST">4</SB>do not express simultaneously hydrogen atoms.
