<p>Disclosed are a cell switchover method, a base station, user equipment and a communication system, relating to the technical field of communications, which solve the problem of call drop in the prior art caused by the user equipment failing to receive a switchover command because the quality of the signal at the source base station side becomes poor during the cell switchover and then the source base station initiating user release. The method includes: a base station receives a first measurement report reported by User Equipment (UE), and sends a first switchover command to the UE; the base station receives a second measurement report reported by the UE, with the second measurement report being reported if the UE does not receive the first switchover command; the base station cancels the switchover process triggered by the first measurement report according to the second measurement report; after determining to perform cell switchover on the UE according to the second measurement report, the base station sends a second switchover command to the UE. The present invention is applicable to switching the cell where the user equipment is located.</p> |
