<p>A fluid ejecting apparatus (20) that compresses a fluid by driving piezoelectric elements to thereby eject the fluid from nozzles, the fluid ejecting apparatus comprising:
a voltage waveform detecting unit that detects a voltage waveform of the piezoelectric element;
a viscosity estimating unit that estimates a viscosity of the fluid according to the voltage waveform detecting unit;
a drive voltage setting unit that sets a drive voltage for the piezoelectric elements based on the estimated viscosity; and
a drive control unit that controls driving of the piezoelectric elements according to the set drive voltage,
wherein the drive voltage increases with a decrease in the estimated viscosity.</p> |
