<p>The stop valve has a valve portion (6) which is provided for opening and closing the valve about a pivot axis (S) in fitting housing (2). A spherical shaped sealing surface is formed on the valve portion. The valve portion is pivoted about another pivot axis which is perpendicular to the pivot axis (S).
