<p>In a hook loader truck and container assembly the hook loader truck 1 includes a tippable part 17 adapted to receive a container 3. The container includes a rear door 5 mounted to be elevatable and to be pivotable about an upper region thereof. A cable 9 is secured in one end region thereof to a lower side region of the door, the cable running to an upper region of the bin and over at least one first guide 11, 13 provided in an upper region of the container so as to extend downwardly outside the container and through a second guide 15 provided in a lower region of the container. The cable 9 including cable retaining means in another end region thereof. The hook loader truck 1 further including holding means 21 for realisably holding the another end region of the cable 9. As the container 3 is tipped the relative movement of the container 3 and tippable part 17 relative to the remainder of the truck 1 causes the cable 9 to elevate the door 5 relative to the remainder of the container and to allow the door 5 to pivot relative to the remainder of the container 3 to allow the contents of the container to be discharged.</p> |
