<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain unit including an opening plugging tool which does not strike a hand holding the chain in such a condition that it is attached to the chain, and is hard to be removed. <P>SOLUTION: A chain unit 1 includes: a chain 2 constructed by connecting in one direction a plurality of chain pieces 20 in which an inner side has an opening 21; and a plugging tool 3 installed within the opening 21. Concaves 31 into each of which a peripheral surface inner side of the chain piece 20 is fitted are provided to a pair of side sections which extend in chain piece connecting direction and face each other, respectively, on a plugging tool 3. Distance L1 between paired side ends 30 and 30 of the plugging tool 3 in a plane crossing at a right angle roughly to a chain piece connecting direction is set to be longer than a width L2 of the opening 21 in the same plane, and set to be shorter than a width L3 of the chain piece 20 in the same plane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
