<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC card and a portable terminal device having a non-contact IC card function that can reduce a communication disabled region at a reader/writer as well as almost does not increase price, thickness, size, or weight. <P>SOLUTION: Metal plates 20a and 20b are disposed separately from each other in a space inside of a loop coil antenna 10 forming a rectangular annular shape flat face, along two facing inner edges of the loop coil antenna 10. Magnetic flux generated by a loop coil antenna of a reader/writer makes eddy current flow in the metal plates 20a and 20b. Because the repulsive magnetic flux caused by this eddy current bends the magnetic flux generated by the loop coil antenna of the reader/writer to an internal space side of the loop coil antenna 10, the electromagnetic induction coupling between the loop coil antenna 10 and the loop coil antenna of the reader/writer increases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
