<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket-shaped rotor in which an end ring can be prevented from being damaged, by mitigating stress concentration applied to the end ring. <P>SOLUTION: A basket-shaped rotor includes a rotor iron core 252 with which a plurality of slots are formed, a plurality of conductor bars 254 which are accommodated in the respective slots of the rotor iron core 252 and of which both terminal portions are protruded from an end face of the rotor iron core 252 in an axial direction; and a pair of end rings 226 disposed at both ends of the rotor iron core 252 and having a plurality of fitting portions 227 to which the both terminal portions of the conductor bars 254 are fitted. Each of the conductor bars 252 is formed arcuate at the side of a rotor center axis in a cross-sectional shape within a face orthogonal to the axial direction, and a cavity is provided at the side of the rotor center axis of the fitting portion 227 to which the conductor bar 254 is fitted within the face orthogonal to the axial direction. In the cavity, at the side of the rotor center axis, a curved portion is formed and the curved portion of the cavity includes a circular arc having a radius larger than that of a circular arc at the side of the rotor center axis of the conductor bar 254. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
