<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an image which does not include halation caused by reflection of illumination light and to improve user friendliness, without complicating the constitution of an image input device such as a book scanner. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus acquires a first taken image of a document and a second taken image that is obtained by reflecting, on the original, the shadow of a moving object moved by a user so as to cross over the document; sets a halation region on the basis of the first taken image, by a halation region setting part 32; and performs halation correction processing of extracting an image in a shadow region within the halation region from the second taken image and composing the image of the shadow region to the first taken image, by a halation correction part 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
