<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bait protecting apparatus which can be sunk without fail to a targeted depth without a bait being taken by small fish on the way. <P>SOLUTION: To set bellows 2 which have fixed internal pressure to the capsule body 1, the screw 3 is set at the top of the bellows 2. The bellows 2 are fixed to the capsule body 1 with the screw 3 and the depth adjustment plate 4. The bellows 2 are compressed by the pressure of depth of water and the opening hook 5 which is set under the bellows 2 moves to remove the opening and closing washer 6 from the lock cam 7.
