<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of restraining iron loss thereby enhancing its efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 4 comprises pairs of slots 15 and 16 formed at a 60° interval in a circumferential direction of a rotor core 10, a plurality of permanent magnet split bodies 14a-14b and non-magnetic spacers 17-19 inserted and fixed in the slots.
