An appliance for air ionization contains the high voltage power supply of negative and positive polarities, the crowning electrodes, the self-control unit with indicator and resistor connected with semiconductor resistor as well as the additional resistor and indicator. One lead of the additional resistor is connected with semiconductor resistor while another lead is connected with power supply and indicator. The high voltage power supply of the positive polarity is connected in parallel to the additional resistor. The high voltage power supply of the negative polarity is connected in parallel with semiconductor resistor.
