<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper separation mechanism capable of preventing a conveyance error such as double feeding by separating paper stacked and stored in a paper tray without increasing the number of parts and achieving miniaturization/thinning of the paper separation mechanism itself and an apparatus such as a printer including the mechanism and cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: This paper separation mechanism 1 separates recording paper one sheet by one sheet to feed the recording paper to a paper conveyance path when the paper tray 2 stacked and stored with the recording paper in a tray body 3 is mounted in a tray mounting part of a device body, and a paper feed roller R is made to abut on the uppermost recording paper and is rotated and driven to feed the recording paper to the paper conveyance path. The paper separation mechanism 1 includes an inclination forming member 6 which has a separation surface 5 formed to butt and sort a conveyance direction downstream side distal end part of the recording paper fed by the paper feed roller R and is oscillatable to change an inclination angle of the separation surface 5 and an inclination angle changing part 7 which abuts on the inclination forming member 6 by interlocking with mounting on the tray mounting part and oscillates the inclination forming member 6 to change the inclination angle of the separation surface 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
