<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable selection of a portion, which becomes impossible to select, at low cost, when the selection of a portion on a display screen by an operation device is disabled due to the failure of the operation device, in a GUI where a display and the operation device are located away from each other. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle operation input device includes a failure detection unit 33 for detecting the failure of each of the plurality of switches of an operation device 2.
