<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear lamp control device which controls a rear lamp while considering a following vehicle without adding any expensive component. <P>SOLUTION: The rear lamp control device includes: a rear lamp provided in a rear part of a vehicle; a light detection means provided inside a vehicle body of the vehicle; a light guide means which guides light with which the rear part is irradiated to the inside of a detection range for the light detection means; a position detection means which detects the presence/absence of a following vehicle turning on head lights and its position on the basis of light guided by the light guide means and detected by the light detection means; and a rear lamp control means which controls the rear lamp on the basis of a detection result of the position detection means. According to the control device, since the rear lamp is controlled on the basis of the presence/absence and position of the following vehicle detected according to light detected by the light detection means provided inside the vehicle body, the rear lamp can be controlled while considering the following vehicle without adding any expensive component such as radar or sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
