<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system for vehicle which is capable of activating an air conditioner without giving a sense of discomfort to an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: Internal stench data inside a house where the occupant has stayed prior to getting in a vehicle is detected by a surrounding stench sensor 32 of a key device 200 installed on a key of the vehicle. In case the occupant gets into the vehicle, an initial value of a switch determination value is set based on the internal stench data. An air condition controlling section 14 activates the air conditioner in an internal air circulating mode in case vehicle exterior stench data is large and activates the air conditioner in an external air introducing mode in case the vehicle exterior stench data is small based on the switch determination value and the vehicle exterior stench data detected by a vehicle exterior stench sensor 15.
