The colour television camera according to the invention includes a solid-state monosensor imager 20 with line transfer, in which two sets of interleaved photosites form two quincunx structures A, B, the photosites of these two structures being connected respectively via conductive columns and memories 4, 5 to two output registers 6, 7. The imager is covered with a chromatic filter 10 of complementary colours, elementary yellow filters covering one of the quincunx structures and elementary cyan or magenta filters covering the photosites of the odd and even lines respectively of the other quincunx structure. The imager is read in full to form each frame of the image. The processing circuits 30 enable the conventional colour signals to be obtained directly from the output signals from the output registers 6, 7. Application, in particular, to cameras requiring no delay line in the processing circuits. <IMAGE>
