<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and treatment equipment for incineration ash which make e.g., lead and hexavalent chromium, among heavy metals contained in incineration ash, harmless concurrently and stably with simple equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment method for incineration ash includes: supplying an engine exhaust gas within the range of 340°C to 500°C, from a gas engine 3 which is operated with hydrocarbon as a fuel, to a reaction device 2; and reacting carbon dioxide in the engine exhaust gas with incineration ash for a predetermined time, thereby making harmless lead and hexavalent chromium contained in the incineration ash.
