<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED illumination system which can restrain an excessive current from flowing when an LED unit and a power supply unit are attached to or separated from each other. <P>SOLUTION: The LED illumination system comprises a power supply unit which supplies power and an LED unit which is removably fitted to the power supply unit and which includes at least one LED. The power supply unit includes a current feedback control circuit, a voltage feedback control circuit, and an LED unit connection detection unit which detects the connection status of the LED unit. When the LED unit is connected to the power supply unit, constant current control by the current feedback control circuit is exerted; when the LED unit is disconnected from the power supply unit, output voltage control on the power supply unit by the voltage feedback control circuit is exerted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
