<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a lubricating oil for use in fluid bearings as has little change in the kinetic viscosity with temperature, and has little evaporation loss and excellent low-temperature flowability in spite of a low viscosity at service temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricating oil for use in fluid bearings uses a base oil comprising the first ester made from a 6-10C dicarboxylic acid and a 6-9C straight chain alcohol, the second ester made from a 6-10C dicarboxylic acid and a 6-9C straight chain and branched alcohols, and the third ester made from a 6-10C dicarboxylic acid and a 6-9C branched alcohol, and is characterized in that this base oil includes, on the basis of the amount of base oil, 2-40 mass% of the first ester, 25-55 mass% of the second ester, and 10-75 mass% of the third ester, and has a kinetic viscosity at 40°C of 12 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/s or less, a viscosity index of 145 or more, a ratio of the kinetic viscosity at 0°C to that at 100°C of 17 or less, a pour point of -10°C or lower, and an acid value of 0.05 mgKOH/g or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
