PHOTOACOUSTIC IMAGING DEVICE, PROBE UNIT USED IN THE SAME, AND OPERATION METHOD OF PHOTOACOUSTIC IMAGING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate position matching of a plurality of branched light and a plurality of optical fibers in photoacoustic imaging implemented by using the plurality of optical fibers and guiding laser beams.

SOLUTION: A photoacoustic imaging device includes a light branching section 12 having a branch DOE 40 for branching one and another of two laser beams Lx and Ly respectively incident at different positions to a plurality of first branched beams Lxd and a plurality of second branched beams Lyd respectively according to a branching pattern; a first bundle fiber 14x including a plurality of first optical fibers 13x in which one end faces 13e thereof are arrayed while matching the branching pattern; and a second bundle fiber 14y including a plurality of second optical fibers 13y in which one end faces 14e thereof are arrayed while matching the branching pattern. The first plurality of branched beams Lxd are guided by the plurality of first optical fibers 13x, and the second plurality of branched beams Lyd are guided by the plurality of second optical fibers 13y.
