<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card which can extend the expiration date so as to be viewed, and a digital content system. <P>SOLUTION: A memory card comprises: a period storage section 15a which stores a rental period of digital content; a rental period determination section 16a which determines whether or not the current data exceeds a rental period by referring to the period storage section 15a when a start instruction of viewing of the digital content is received; a viewing permission section 16c which permits viewing of the digital content when the current data is within the rental period; a viewing storage section 15b which stores total lapse time of the digital content when an operation of stopping viewing of the digital content is performed; a control section 10 which outputs the total lapse time stored in the viewing storage section 15b when it is determined that the current data exceeds the rental period; and a period update section 16b which updates the rental period of the period storage section 15a when update information on update of the rental period of the digital content is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
