<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transaction device 1 having a code number input device 7 with a peeking prevention part 9 for performing person identification through operations of the code number input device 7, which is operable even by a client with short height without impairing operability and capable of reliably preventing skimming or peeking of the code. <P>SOLUTION: The peeking prevention part 9 is provided with a light blocking filter part 8 at an upper front face and an opening for insertion of fingers at a lower front face. The code number input device 7 is covered with a peeking prevention plate 9a. The vertical angle θ1 of the rear face of the peeking prevention plate 9a is approximately equalized to the vertical view angle θc1 of the visual line between a client with average height and the code number input device 7.
