<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the determination of the presence or absence of electrical conduction between a riser section of a submarine pipeline and its surroundings and the determination of the site of electrical conduction. <P>SOLUTION: An insulation determination system includes: an undersea-side terminal 113 installed in a sea; and an AC signal current generator 111 which applies a voltage between the undersea-side terminal 113 and the riser of the submarine pipeline. Here, the insulation determination system measures at least one selected from among a current flowing through the riser of the submarine pipeline, a current flowing through an offshore construction, and a current flowing through a sea-side pipe connected to the pipeline through an insulation joint. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
