<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light source device capable of utilizing light from a light-emitting body of a light source with a high utilization ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The planar light source device 20 comprises a light guide plate 30 provided with a light-diffusing element 40, a light-emitting body 25 arranged beside the light guide plate, a first lens sheet 50 formed by putting under extrusion process thermoplastic resin arranged facing the light guide plate, and a second lens sheet 60 formed by putting under extrusion process thermoplastic resin arranged facing the first lens sheet. Each of the lens sheets includes main bodies 51, 61 and unit lenses 55, 65 arranged in parallel on each body.
