摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methodologies that facilitate calibration techniques for distortion introduced by in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) imbalance and mixing-product modulated images. <P>SOLUTION: An in-phase (I) signal and a quadrature (Q) signal are generated in a transmitter 200, fed to IF mixers 208, 209, and summed by a summer 210. The summed IF signal is fed to a mixer 214, and the resultant RF signal is then transmitted by an antenna 216. To allow RF-based calibration to compensate for contributions of mixing-product modulated images, an RF feedback signal 218 is examined, and adjustments (e.g., to gain and/or phase of I and/or Q signal paths) is made so as to compensate for unwanted signal components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
