<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of sufficiently preventing generation of a rattle sound, while suppressing an increase in cost. <P>SOLUTION: This EPS 1 includes a rack shaft 3 reciprocatingly supported in the axial direction, a motor shaft 16 for inserting the rack shaft 3 and rotating by motor driving, and a rolling bearing 18 for rotatably supporting the motor shaft 16 to a housing 5 for storing the rack shaft 3. The EPS includes a damping mechanism 41 arranged between the motor shaft 16 and the housing 5 and generating damping force for suppressing the movement in the axial direction of the motor shaft 16 based on the relative movement in the axial direction to the housing 5 of the motor shaft 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
