<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction duct connecting structure that is connectable to any one of suction ducts having different connection opening diameters by using only one air cleaner and capable of working well complying with their respective required performances, and an air cleaner device thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The influx port 4a of the air cleaner 2 has a flow passage whose cross-sectional area enlarges in eccentricity toward one side from the second stage 8 to the first stage 6 more in the upstream of the suction flow. In the case of a suction duct 14 having a smaller connection opening diameter, connection is made to the influx port 4a of the air cleaner 2 at the second stage 8 in downstream while the first stage 6 upstream is skipped, which allows introducing the suction air to the air cleaner 2 externally, and the smaller connection opening diameter assures saving the space and reducing the noise. In the case of a suction duct 12 having a larger connection opening diameter, connection is made to the influx port 4a at the first stage 6 in upstream, but the flow passage sectional area decreases at the second stage 8 downstream of the connection. However, because the level difference 8a lies inside the curvature of a curved suction duct 12, the suction flow is not largely influenced by the dead space 16, and it is possible to secure sufficiently a large quantity of suction flow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
