<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear assist system that strikes a balance between the three-dimensional effect of a three-dimensional expected path and the recognizability of a situation in a traveling path area. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes: a volatile memory 8 for storing an input image of capturing the rear of own vehicle; and an image processing device 10, which superimposes the three-dimensional expected path where the own vehicle travels according to a steering angle on the captured image stored in the volatile memory 8, and which outputs the superimposed image to a display device 7. The three-dimensional expected path comprises: transmissive mask images 24-26 for masking the captured image area excluding a portion corresponding to a three-dimensional bottom surface and a portion corresponding to a progress surface of three-dimensional sides; and outer circumference images 21-23 for showing an outer circumference excluding at least a base from a cross-section along a three-dimensional height direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
