<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die casting aluminum alloy-made crash can improved in energy absorbing performance while the weight is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A crash can 10 for absorbing the load input to a bumper reinforcement is provided between the end of a side frame extended in the front-rear direction of a vehicle body and a bumper reinforcement extended in the vehicle width direction, is formed by die casting of an aluminum alloy, and is provided with a wall face part 12 extended in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body and formed in a closed cross section shape in the direction roughly orthogonal to the front-rear direction of the vehicle body.
