<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a negative electrode material for high capacity nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, in which metal or a compound thereof is dispersed and fixed in a carbonaceous material, stably and easily. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing a negative electrode material for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, in which metal or a compound thereof is dispersed and fixed in a carbonaceous material, includes an ion-exchange step for adsorbing metal ions to an ion-exchange resin, and a step for subsequently heat treating the ion-exchange resin. Since metal ions are adsorbed to the ion-exchange resin and then the ion-exchange resin is heat treated, the content and composition of metal and metal compound in composite particles thus obtained can be controlled stably. Since the composite particles thus obtained are fine particles of metal compound or the like carried in the carbonaceous material by high diffusion, a high capacity negative electrode material is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
