<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components and assembling man-hours, and to prevent a shaft-pressing member from falling off from a bracket. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight for a vehicle is provided with a lamp unit 15 irradiating the light of a light source forward, a bracket 6 supporting the lamp unit in free movement in a horizontal direction, a swivel shaft 31 to be a rotating fulcrum of the lamp unit toward a horizontal direction, and a shaft-pressing member 33 mounted on the bracket. The shaft-pressing member is composed of a spring 38 for pressing the swivel shaft from an axis direction, a first face 34 with a first insertion-coupling hole 34b formed, and a second face 36 with a second insertion-coupling hole 36a formed and separated from the first face in a cross direction. The first face is provided with a pressing part 34a for pressing the swivel shaft from a radial direction, and a mounting part 9 of the bracket is provided with a first insertion-coupling protrusion 11 protruded in an opposite direction in front and rear direction to be insertion-coupled with the first insertion-coupling hole and a second insertion-coupling protrusion 12 insertion-coupled with the second insertion-coupling hole, a protrusion volume of the first insertion-coupling protrusion larger than that of the second insertion-coupling protrusion.
