<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane type compressor that is highly efficient by reducing pressure loss during an high-speed operation. <P>SOLUTION: The vane type compressor includes: an approximately tubular cylinder that has both axial ends opened and that has an intake port communicating with the low-pressure side of a refrigerating cycle; a cylinder head and a frame for closing both the axial ends of the cylinder; a rotor shaft that comprises a cylinder rotor portion making a rotational motion in the cylinder and a shaft portion transferring a rotative force to the rotor portion; and one or more vanes that are installed in the rotor portion and that have leading ends formed in an arc shape on the outside. The vane is held by the rotor portion so that the leading end of the vane can slide while maintaining a predetermined gap between the leading end and an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, along the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder. A notch, which communicates with at least either the one opening of the cylinder or the other opening of the cylinder and in which the intake port is opened, is formed in the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
