<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent a recording liquid within a head from leaking in the replacement of a line head having a plurality of nozzles. <P>SOLUTION: A line head structure 11 is configured to detachably attach a head part 31 to a head supporting part 32. The line head structure 11 is integrally and detachably attached to a maintenance recovery mechanism 20, with which a waste liquid tank 21 can be coupled, with respect to an apparatus body.
