PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of an image quality.

SOLUTION: A crosstalk correction part 52 stores a correction matrix for correcting crosstalk caused by leakage of light or electrons from adjacent pixels in an imaging element 44 comprising plural pixels for receiving light, and performs operation of applying the correction matrix to an image signal of each pixel outputted from the imaging element. Furthermore, the crosstalk correction part 52 generates the correction matrix in accordance with the open value of a lens collecting light on the light-receiving surface of the imaging element 44. This invention can be applied to an imaging apparatus.
