DISTORTION COMPENSATION DEVICE, TRANSMITTER AND DISTORTION COMPENSATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation in distortion compensation performance due to saturation handling of a distortion compensation factor.

SOLUTION: A distortion compensation device includes a PD signal generation section 16 for pre-distorting an input signal according to distortion compensation factors respectively corresponding to a plurality of delayed signals where different delayed amounts are applied to the input signal. The distortion compensation device also includes a subtracter 44 for calculating an error signal from the pre-distorted input signal and an output signal where the input signal is amplified. The distortion compensation device further includes an update computation section 22 for computing a plurality of update distortion compensation factors for the delayed signals from the error signal. The distortion compensation device yet further includes LUT saturation handling sections 200 for performing saturation handling of bringing the update distortion compensation factors within a preset range. The distortion compensation device furthermore includes an update control section 202 for controlling updates on the distortion compensation factors in accordance with factor saturation information indicating whether or not the saturation handling has been performed on the update distortion compensation factors.
