<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device comprising a plurality of elements such that the respective elements are easily arranged in more accurate position relation. <P>SOLUTION: The coordinate input device includes a frame where a retroreflective member which reflects incident light to the incidence direction of the incident light is arranged, and a sensor unit including light projection means of projecting light to the retroreflective member and light reception means of receiving the light projected by the projection means and reflected by the retroreflective member, and detects a position of input to a coordinate input area when the frame and sensor unit are arranged in the predetermined position relation at the periphery of the coordinate input area.
