PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Liriope platyphylla seed extract, Lycii folium extract, or a mixture thereof is provided to ensure antioxidation, skin whitening, and anti-wrinkling effects without side effects. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening or anti-wrinkling contains 0.001-10 wt% of platyphylla seed extract, Lycii folium extract, or a mixture thereof. The cosmetic composition is prepared in the form of a lotion, gel, aqueous liquid, cream, essence, shampoo, W/O type or O/W type formulation. The extract is prepared using anhydrous or hydrous methanol of 1-4 carbon atoms, ethanol, propyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, glycerin, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, or water.
