PURPOSE: A scheduling method and an apparatus thereof in a multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) system are provided to efficiently perform scheduling and to increase throughput of the entire cell in a communication system. CONSTITUTION: A MIMO communication system initializes a mobile station(MS) set(500). The system selects an MS(k1*) from the MS in a first cell for maximizing the sum rate for the entire cell(502). The system updates the MS set(504). The system selects MS(k2*) from the MS in a second cell for maximizing the sum rate for the entire cell(506). The system updates the MS set(508).
