PURPOSE: A word searching apparatus using a word configuring code and a method thereof are provided to simply perform word search based on a word configuration code without performing word search through an operation through a character string comparing function. CONSTITUTION: A database(120) stores word configuration codes. If a search word is received from a user, a code generator(130) generates a word configuration code about the search word. A word extractor(140) extracts at least one word related to the search word from the database by comparing the word configuration code with the cord configuration code about the search word.
