PURPOSE: A hydraulic pump apparatus for a hydraulically driven bicycle is provided to continuously generate hydraulic pressure of low pulsation according as multiple piston pumps are successively operated by rotation of a driving cam. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic pump apparatus for a hydraulically driven bicycle(10) comprises a driving cam(20) and multiple piston pumping units(30). The driving cam is coupled to a rotary shaft to rotate. The multiple piston pumping units are regularly arranged in the outer surface of the driving cam around the rotary shaft. Each piston pumping unit comprises a piston cylinder(31), an inlet port(33), an outlet port(34), a piston(35), and a pushing plate(37). Working fluid is flowed in and out to the piston cylinder through the inlet port and the outlet port. The inlet port and the outlet port respectively allow only one flow direction. The piston is inserted in the piston cylinder and it reciprocates. One end of the pushing plate is coupled to a predetermined position in the outer surface of the piston cylinder by a hinge shaft. The pushing plate is extended to the lower part of the piston and is connected with the piston. The pushing plate is pushed by rotation of the driving cam. |
