The method involves measuring vibratory signal current of a turbocompressor (2). A frequency transform of the signal current is produced to form frequency signal current. Rotational frequency of a turbocompressor shaft (22), natural frequency of a compressor wheel (21) and natural frequency of a turbine wheel (23) are obtained. Amplitudes of the frequency signal current are measured at the obtained frequencies. The amplitudes are compared with preset amplitude thresholds of the shaft, the compressor and the turbine. A failure detection signal is transmitted according to the comparison results.
