The present invention refers to an amaranth-based food supplement, which also includes low sodium milk in powder, amaranth flour, rice flour, oat flour, icing sugar and vanilla in natural powder. The most important characteristic of the supplement is the amount of protein that provides to the diet, since it contains 4.2g in a portion of 20g. This represents the 21% of the total product, while the cereals currently available on the market only contain 7% of protein in the total product.
