<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent light from a backlight from being leaked through a chamfer part of a front window in a liquid crystal display device having the front window. <P>SOLUTION: An upper polarizer 21 is formed on a counter substrate 20, and a light shielding material 50 is formed on the outside of the upper polarizer 21. An end of the upper polarizer 21 exists on an inner side than the end of a front window 30, and the upper polarizer 21 and the front window 30 are adhered to each other by using an adhesive 40 made of an ultraviolet ray curable resin. The ultraviolet ray curable resin 40 exists also on the light shielding material 50. A chamfer 31 is formed in the front window 30, and no ultraviolet ray curable resin 40 adheres to the chamfer 31 of the front window 30. This configuration allows light from a backlight 200 to be prevented from entering from the chamfer 31 of the front window 30 into the inside the front window 30 to cause leakage of light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
